The American Legion Post #82 in La Plata, MD hosted Bill Dawson and Tom Hawkins at a book signing celebration Saturday afternoon, February 14, 2015.
It was an opportunity for Bill Dawson, a long-time member of Post #82, to meet the local community and share his stories and collection of WWII historical documents. He signed copies of his book Before They Were Frogs They Were SEALs, which launched February 13, 2015.
Bill was joined by Tom Hawkins, author of America’s Hidden Heroes: The History and Evolution of U.S. Navy Frogmen and SEALs, and Norm Olson, the first Executive Director of the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum, which he helped found in 1985.
